How to Make Cloud Slime

Cloud slime is pure magic, it holds together in your hands, then “rains” down in soft little ribbons when you lift it. That drizzle is the whole point, and getting it is easier than you’d think. The secret add-in? Instant snow.

What you’ll need

  • White or clear school glue (PVA glue)

  • Slime activator

  • Instant snow powder, this gives cloud slime its fluffy, drizzly body

  • Water, and optional color + scent

How to make cloud slime, step by step

  1. Make a base slime. Mix glue with color, then add activator slowly until it comes together and isn’t sticky.

  2. Prep the instant snow. In a separate cup, add water to your instant snow powder and watch it puff up.

  3. Combine. Knead the fluffed snow into your slime a little at a time until it feels soft and airy and “drizzles” when you lift it. Add more snow for a fluffier cloud, a touch more water if it’s too stiff.

  4. Do the drizzle test. Scoop some up and let it fall, if it ribbons down like soft rain, you nailed it.

Too sticky or too stiff along the way? Our how to fix slime guide sorts out both in minutes. And if you love the sound of that drizzle, you’ll want to read up on the best ASMR slimes next.
